Works great, flawless, once I got the correct wires connected. Two wires to connect, ground wire not needed. Keeps items in bed secure with hard top cover. 2018 Chevy Colorado LT 2.8L diesel
Works great, but directions could have been more explicit on wire connections. Using stick pins, finally found VOM activity on the third tan wire with yellow strip. The other pin was in a grey wire per the instructions, but a test run of the solenoid did not work. Moreover, the door locks stopped working altogether. At this point, contacting tech support, they said to look for a larger grey wire. After further unbundling, a larger grey wire was found, where everything was found to work properly. All other aspects of the installation went quite smoothly. That said, my only recommendation is that the directions state to look for the largest of the tan/yellow and grey wires in the bundle. This would save a lot of headache.

Now, when I lock/unlock the doors with the remote, the tailgate also locks/unlocks.
Took about 2 hours to install. Took the longest to run the wire from the rear of the vehicle into the cab.

Still working as it should. Its nice to have items stored in the pickup bed, under the tonneau cover, somewhat secure. Also, the lock makes it less likely that someone will steal the tailgate.
Awesome mod!! 2018 Chevy Rado. 5-6 hours total but really took my time and careful about doing clean install. Could've been much faster if I fit easier under my truck, or my hands were smaller to reach and zip lock wire under frame, or if I had a lift. Most time consuming part of install was running the cable and taking apart and reassembling wire harness. If you don't have a lift consider parking at bottom of an incline to give youself room under truck. Take your time. Product works great. Now I don't have to worry about forgetting if I locked my tailgate. I just use my remote and when I lock my truck the tailgate is secure as well. 2nd purchase w/ etrailer! You guys are the best, thanks!
I installed it on a 2017 Chevy Colorado extended cab one year ago and it has worked perfectly well since. It was quite easy to install, only thing was the wiring instructions are incorrect (for ext cab), maybe on the crew cab is correct. I went to a local stereo and alarm shop and they printed out the power door locks wiring diagram for me and told me where the wires were. Once i knew where, I connected the wires and it has been working with my door locks ever since. I lock and unlock the doors at least 10 time a day.
This product works great..Took me 2 hours to install. My Suggestion is take your time running the wire under the truck perhaps pick up more zip ties. splicing the wires in was challenging the wires were a different color in my truck .. But I got it sorted out .. Love that I can leave gear in the back of my Ridgeline with Tonneau cover and not worry .. it’s all locked up ..
Does the trick for sure. I don't know if it was the installation of the product or the product itself, but there are definitely times when it sticks. Nothing hitting the unlock and lock button a couple of times never fixed, but it was a bit of an annoyance. Without that little issue (and it was pretty minor) it was a great product. May have been a small adjustment necessary after it was installed, but I sold the truck it was on so I never looked into it. I definitely recommend the product because otherwise my keyed entry would constantly get filled with debris and not unlock. Solid solution.
The Pop and Lock works as expected and was easy to install. Instructions provided were good but color pictures would have been a help. The install was made even easier by viewing installation videos provided by others on YouTube. In my case the wire connections in the step sill were blue to grey and green to tan with yellow stripe for my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500. I did have to add a small amount of grease to the lock cylinder to get the truck to unlock successfully each time but that was no fault to the Pop and Lock.
Product was easy to install wit a little help from YouTube videos. Cable was not long enough to run through firewall but fortunately the parking brake penetration on drivers side floor made connection easy. Had to bend the supplied cam lever slightly to get lock assemble to fully unlock. Thus only 4 stars

the lock was everything that I expected it should be. (excellent).
the installation went as well as could be ,I,am almost 70 years old .(excellent).
the only problem I had was the instructions called for a connection to a tan wire with a yellow stripe and a grey wire. (not so on my new 2014 truck) IT WAS A BROWN WIRE WITH YELLOW STRIPE
and a grey wire. all in all I do like the power lock. (excellent)

i installed the pop and lock in a 2018 gmc canyon. ihad to redo becuse i wired wrong instruction in video said it doesn't matter but it does on my truck blue wire to grey wire and green wire to brown with yellow now works properly everytime
Have not yet installed tailgate locking system from Pop and Lock but service and ordering from etrailer.com could not be easier or quicker. Everything arrived as ordered and right on their scheduled time.
I’ve had the pop and lock for a year. Only had an issue once when it was cold when it wouldn’t unlock but haven’t had an issue since. Easy install using a video.

Works great. Instructions said tan wire with yellow strip. Google said correctly brown wire with yellow strip. Other then that it was easy.

It is a great product. Very glad I purchased it. Only thing negative that I would say about it is the lack of instruction on which wire's to wire it to. Other than that I love the product.
Works as described and has made my life much easier and gives me peace of mind that the stuff in the bed of my truck is secure.
